B.D.S. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting from school, when 16, and sailing 10th October, 1915, served till demobilisation as stretcher-bearer with 8th Australian Field Ambulance, although wounded at Westhoek 22nd September, 1917, and again wounded and gassed at Mont St. Quentin 3rd September, 1918. Early education at Fort St. High School.
