B .S c .: Lieutenant, 1st D.A.C., A.F.A. and A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 7th July, 1915, and sailing 10th October with No. 2 Australian General Hospital reinforcements to Egypt and thence to France, transferred to 1st Divisional Artillery Column 23rd November, 1916, and served with it until the end of the War, returning 29th February, 1920. Promoted bombardier, 1st January, 1918, secondlieutenant, 9th September, and lieutenant, 19th December. Attended the University of London (B.Sc.Int.) while awaiting demobilisation.
