Book of Remembrance entry
M.A. : Lieutenant, 18th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 23rd August, 1916, and sailing 19th December, 1917, with 21st Reinforcements, after attending N.C.O. and Officers Training Schools, joined battn. at Camon 20th June, 1918, and served till wounded at Villers-Bretonneux 23rd July and evacuated to hospital. Rejoining battn. at Vignacourt, went to Corps School, Walcourt, as instructor in January, 1919, and remained there until its completion and demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 17th July, 1918. Early education at Bombala Superior Public School.
