M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., Med. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting and sailing with No. 2 Australian General Hospital details, returned in charge of 500 wounded in 1916. Re-embarking as R.M.O. 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column, crossed from Egypt to France and served at Armentieres, Somme and Ypres, returning to Australia in 1918. Mentioned in Despatches. Chief Medical Officer, Department of Public Instruction, Queensland. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
