B.E. : Sergeant, 13th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and England. Enlisting 28th September, 1914, was signaller in Egypt and from the Anzac Landing until wounded 18th August, 1915, and evacuated to Egypt and England. Then served at H.Q., London, till invalided to Australia in April, 1918. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later one year in Arts.
