B.A. : Sapper, 15th Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 17th January 1916, transferred to Engineers in May as acting sergeant and, sailing 17th October as acting company-sergeantmajor with 7th Reinforcements, 1st Pioneers, transferred to Engineers in England as acting sergeant. Crossing to France as sapper in November, 1917, joined Coy. in Ypres sector and served till demobilisation after three months' non-military employment. Diploma in Technical Education, London.
