Dr Willam D Walker was a diarist and photographer who aspired to use medicine as a means to an end, particularly “to pursue travel and natural history”.

He won the Medal of the Royal Photographic Society in London in September 1931 for his studies of Kangaroos and of Indigenous Australians. http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article29924417.
