B.A., LL.B. : Sergeant, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 29th July, 1915, and sailing in January, 1916, with reinforcements, joined 5th Australian Field Ambulance 21st March and served with it outside Armentieres and on the Somme, then with No. 1 Sanitary Section at 2nd Division H.Q. and until demobilisation. Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
