B.A., LL.B. : Captain, 54th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in June, 1915, and sailing as lieutenant in charge of 14th Reinforcements 2nd Battn. 15th January, 1916, was transferred to 54th Battn. reinforcements in England 22nd May, joining battn. in France 21st July and serving at the Somme, Hindenburg Line, Bullecourt, Villers-Bretonneux and elsewhere until demobilisation. Promoted captain, 30th September, 1916. Member S.U. Scouts. Early education at Mrs. Boodle's and Miss Cottingham's North Sydney Preparatory Schools, All Saints' College, Bathurst, and Sydney High and Grammar Schools.
