M.A., B.D. (Aberd.), S.T.M., Ph.D. (Col.), Principal, St. Andrew's College: Lieutenant, 1st Welsh Bde., R.G.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in Scotland in July, 1916, served till demobilisation, although wounded at Cambrai, first as driver in 52nd Brigade, R.F.A., and then from 1918 as subaltern in R.G.A., later coming to Australia. Early education at Gordon's College, Aberdeen.
