M.D., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.S. : Surgeon, Royal Naval Transport Service and British Red Cross; also Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., England. Was Surgeon, R.N.T.S., from May to July, 1916, and with B.R.C. as M.O. and later Assistant Surgeon, Military Orthopaedic Hospital, Shepherd's Bush, London, till July, 1917. Then enlisted and served with R.A.M.C. until February, 1918, returning to Australia via U.S.A. Chief Assistant, Children's Surgical O.P. Department, St. Thomas's Hospital, London. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew's College.
