Taylor held a senior research position with the Weather Service which during World War One was linked with the Intelligence Branch under the control of Department of Home Affairs. Lecturer in Meteorology at the Commonwealth Flying School (1914-1918) and in Physiography at the University of Melbourne.From ADB entry
