Book of Remembrance entry
Attendant, New Medical School: Petty-Officer, R.N. Sailing in Mercantile Marine 16th February, 1915, and enlisting at Liverpool 9th July, was attached to H.M.S. Victory , Portsmouth, from 16th September to 4th November. Joined the Eastern Mediterranean Squadron 26th November and served on Canopus till 29th March, 1916, then on Europa till 14th October, 1917, and Reindeer till 19th March, 1919. Engaged in carrying wounded from Gallipoli, patrol and convoy work and mine sweeping. Education at Glebe Public School.
