Book of Remembrance entry
B.D.S. : Lieutenant, 4th Divisional Artillery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 21st February, 1916, and sailing 25th October, joined 4th Divisional Ammunition Column in France 20th June, 1917. Sent to No. 7 R.F. Artillery School, St. John's Wood, London, 6th August, was commissioned n th January, 1918, and returned to unit. Promoted lieutenant n th April and appointed Orderly Officer, n th Field Artillery Brigade H.Q., serving until demobilisation, although wounded at Ypres 12th March, 1918, and Hemincourt 24th April. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
