Book of Remembrance entry

Econ. I : Warrant-Officer, 1st Bde., A.F.A., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt and England. Mobilised with Garrison Artillery, Middle Head Forts, 6th August, 1914. Enlisting 12th August and sailing 17th October, served at Anzac from the Landing till 4th June, 1915, when transferred to 2nd Battery, Cape Helles, returning with it 3rd October to Anzac, whence invalided to hospital in Egypt on 16th. On recovery went on Base Duties till 3rd February, 1916, and, crossing via France to Parkhouse Camp, was detailed to A.I.F. Kit Store, London, in November, remaining there until it closed in March, 1920, returning 7th May. Promoted second in charge from 1st April, 1918, and in charge 10th December, 1919.
