Law : Major, 6th A.L.H. Regt., 7th Training and 27th Battns., A.I.F., Gallipoli, England and France. Mobilised for garrison duty 6th August, 1914, and volunteered for A.I.F. on demobilisation in November. Enlisting 16th February, 1915, and sailing 17th March as major 6th A.L.H. Regt., crossed from Alexandria with A.L.H. units 22nd May and served at Anzac until the Evacuation. Transferring to Infantry, was appointed to 7th Training Battn., Salisbury Plain, 26th March, 1916, and to 27th Battn. in France 12th November. Was invalided to England 21st December and returned to Australia 13th April, 1917. Chief Magistrate (Acting Judge), New Guinea, 1928-30. Early education at Wallerawang, Stuart Town, and Dubbo Public Schools.
