B.A., LL.B. : Gunner, 3rd Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in August, 1915, and sailing 3rd November with Field Artillery reinforcements, acted as battery linesman and signaller till gassed at Ypres 21st August, 1917, and evacuated to hospital, returning to Australia in July, 1918. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
