Book of Remembrance entry
Pharmacy : Driver, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Palestine. Enlisting in September, 1915, and sailing 23rd October with 7th A.L.H. reinforcements, was sick in November, but served in Sinai from February to August, 1916, at Battles of Romani and Bir-el-Abd. Then, on account of dispensing experience, was sent to 2nd A.L.H. Brigade Ambulance and carried on dispensary for four months in absence of staff-sergeant. Rejoining unit, was stretcher-bearer around Gaza in 1917, except during sickness in May, and driver from November in every engagement until June, 1918, returning to Australia 20th August.
