Book of Remembrance entry
A.F.C., B.A. : Captain, R.A.F., and R.N.A.S., England. Enlisting in London, was commissioned temporary flight secondlieutenant in October, 1915, and served in command at R.N. Airship Station, Capel, Folkestone, with S.S. type on anti-submarine patrol, 1916-17. During 1918 was at Mullion, Cornwall, on patrol convoy work with non-rigid coastal and coastal star types. Transferred 1st April to R.A.F. as captain on the amalgamation and returned temporarily to Australia on demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School. Later at St. Paul's College.
