Arts I I : Lieutenant, 17th Squadron, R.A.F., Salonika. Sailing for England in October, 1915, was commissioned in R.G.A. and sent to Salonika. After serving there with 127th Siege Battery for over a year was appointed Artillery Liaison Officer with 17th Squadron and subsequently transferred to R.A.F. as observer, and injured in aeroplane crash while working under adverse weather conditions 14th June, 1918. Died through Accident, Lahana, 16th June, 1918, and was buried in Hospital Cemetery, half a mile along Lahana-Mirova Road. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. . . . His genuine goodness and charm of manner endeared him to many. We feel . . . we have indeed lost ' a true friend and perfect gentleman
