Book of Remembrance entry
Helen Cicely Radcliffe's name appears on the University of Tasmania Honour Board. Helen joined the Australian Army Nursing Service and from 1916 worked a masseuse at the First Australian Auxiliary Hospital at Harefield. Helen experienced a bad attack of influenza in April 1918, she survived the war and died in 1963 aged 76. She received an Order of the British Empire in 1951 for her work as a physiotherapist during the polio epidemic of 1938 and later for helping crippled children.
