B.A. : Lieutenant, General List (Education Service) and 19th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st August, 1916, and sailing 7th February, 1917, served with 19th Battn. from 9th October till sent to Cambridge as cadet in September, 1918, although gassed at Morlancourt 28th May. Became Education Officer 3rd Battn., 30th October, returning with it for demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 1st February, 1919. Member of Teachers' College.
