B.E., B.Sc. : Sapper, 15th Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 21st March, 1916, and sailing in November, served with company on the Somme and around Bapaume during the latter part of 1916-17 Winter and later near Ypres, being wounded at Polygon Wood 20th September and evacuated to hospital and Australia, arriving 23rd March, 1918. Early education at Fort St. High School.
