Book of Remembrance entry
M.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Sapper, 4th A.L.H. Signal Troop, A.I.F., Palestine. Enlisting 6th November, 1916, and sailing 3rd September, 1917, arrived in Egypt 19th October and joined troop 1st January, 1918, serving in Jordan Valley and during the final Advance to Damascus. Leaving Syria in January, 1919, was at Cairo till July and then crossed to England via Port Said, Italy and France for leave and demobilisation. Chief Engineer, South Australian Gas Coy. Early education at Sydney High School.
