Book of Remembrance entry
M.B. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.N. and M.E.F., New Guinea. Enlisting 4th August, 1914, served at the Landing at Kaba Kaul with a detachment from the Naval Reserve n th September. Taking off his Red Cross brassard to protect a wounded prisoner and escort, went, despite warnings, to tend another wounded man without it and while doing so was fired upon. Killed in Action, Kaba Kaul, n th September, 1914
