B.E. : Lieutenant, R.E., B.E.F., France. Being nominated for R.E. Commission as graduate and sailing in November, 1915, was gazetted 15th January, 1916, and served in France till death. Killed in Action, 31st January, 1917, and buried in Complines [Combles] Communal Cemetery Extension. University Medalist, Walter and Eliza Hall Engineering Fellow, Science Research and Peter Nicol Russell Scholar. Early education at Newtown and Burwood Public and Sydney High Schools. Later a cadet in the Tramway Department.
