M.B., Ch.M. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 24th May, 1918, and sailing 30th July with 14th General Service Reinforcements, was attached to 55th Battn. and, transferred to 1st Australian Dermatological Hospital, Bulford, after the Armistice, serving till demobilisation. Early education at The Scots College (Dux).
