Book of Remembrance entry
B.A., Law : Warrant-Officer, 7th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 20th January, 1917, and sailing 5th December with 29th Artillery reinforcements, joined office, No. 2 Battery, Heytesbury Camp, and later served with 7th in France. At the Armistice was appointed battery organiser, promoted from gunner to warrantofficer and made Education Officer and Lecturer at Dartford Hospital in February, 1919, continuing work on the voyage back to Australia. Chief Film Censor. Early education at Crown St. Superior Public and Sydney High Schools and Newington College.
