Book of Remembrance entry
M.C., M.B. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 16th April, 1916, and sailing 8th August, joined 4th Australian Field Ambulance and was R.M.O. 15th Battn. from February, 1917, to January, 1918, and of 16th from July to September, and, returning to ambulance, served until demobilisation. Awarded M.C. and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at St. Patrick's College, Goulburn. Later one year in Arts. He worked continuously throughout the day tending the wounded under heavy fire.
