B.D.S. : Friends' Ambulance Unit, B.R.C., France. Joining unit in London in June, 1915, served at B.R.C. Stationary Hospital, Abbeville, as orderly dresser and theatre assistant; then established a dental section in No. 2 Stationary Hospital, Abbeville (later taken over by a military dental officer). Also engaged in dental duties at Queen Alexandra Hospital, B.R.C., Dunkirk, returning to Australia on demobilisation. Hon. Demonstrator in Operative Dentistry. Early education at Friends' School, Hobart.
