Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Private, 14th Trench Mortar Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting in March, 1916, in A.A.M.C., and sailing 2nd December with 5th T.M. reinforcements, joined battery in France 5th October, 1917, and fought until gassed at Morlancourt in July, 1918. Rejoining unit near Peronne 3rd September, served continuously until demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
