M.B.E., B.A. : Lieutenant, 55th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 16th January, 1916, and sailing 29th October, joined battn. in April, 1917, and was appointed Intelligence Officer, 14th Infantry Brigade in September and to 5th Division in March, 1918. Was A.D.C. to General Sir T. Hobbs, K.C.B., commanding Australian Corps in November, 1919. Travelling Scholar, Education Department, 19 13-15 . Member of Teachers' College.
