Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting in August, 1916, and sailing 19th December, served at Harefield Hospital and then with 16th Australian Field Ambulance at Wareham and Fovant. Crossing to France, was with 12th A.F.Amb. until wounded at Passchendaele, 19th October, 1917, while on loan to 13th, whence evacuated to Westminster Hospital, Paris Plage, and thence to Wandsworth. Returned medically unfit in January, 1918. Early education at Ballina Superior Public and Sydney Church of England Grammar Schools.
