Book of Remembrance entry
M.B., Ch.M. : Private, 3rd Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 24th December, 1915, and sailing 22nd August, 1916, served with battn. from December at the Somme, Bullecourt and Ypres, where wounded 4th October, 1917, and evacuated to England. Rejoining battn. in June, 1918, fought at Merris and was stretcher bearing from 9th August to 17th September, when again wounded at St. Quentin Canal and evacuated to England and Australia, arriving in February, 1919.
