Book of Remembrance entry
B.A. : Private, 9th Machine Gun Coy., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 15th March, 1916, and sailing with 2nd Reinforcements 16th August, joined coy. 15th November at Armentieres and served at Messines and Ypres, where wounded 1st October, 1917, and invalided to Australia, arriving 23rd July, 1918. Died of Illness due to War Service, Sydney, 17th August, 1920, and buried in Rookwood Cemetery. Early education at Naremburn Public School. Later at Teachers' College.
