Book of Remembrance entry
M.A., Sci. I : Captain, 18th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and England. Enlisting as captain 18th Battn. 15th May, 1915, and sailing 25th June, reached Gallipoli 19th August, being wounded at Hill 60 on 22nd and evacuated to Wandsworth Hospital, England, and then to Australia, arriving in April, 1916. Re-embarking as captain and adjutant on transport duty 7th October, was for a time O.C. Z Coy., Wareham Camp, England, returning again in April, 1917, and being finally demobilised in January, 1918, after service as Commandant, German Concentration Camp, Trial Bay. Member of Teachers' College.
