Book of Remembrance entry
D.S.O., V.D., M.B. : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt, France and England. Enlisting 1st September, 1914, and sailing in December, served as R.M.O. 16th Battn. in Egypt and at Gallipoli, where wounded 1st May, 1915. Transferred to No. 4 Infection Hospital, Heliopolis, remaining with it till April then joining 4th Australian Field Ambulance and crossing with it to France. In December appointed D.A.D.M.S. 5th Division and in November, 1917, S.M.O. Sutton Veny Area. Appointed C.O. 4th A.F.Amb. in May, 1918
