Book of Remembrance entry
LL.B. : Sergeant, Australian Corps Topographical Section and 20th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 15th August, 1915, and sailing 17th December with 2nd Reinforcements 5th Field Artillery Brigade, was sent to Ammunition Column in Egypt in January, 1916. Crossing to France in March, was with 2nd D.A.C. and later 20th Battery, remaining with it till September. Then transferred to 1st Anzac Corps H.Q. as draughtsman and later worked on aeroplane photographs with Flying Squadrons, joining Topographical Section on formation in 1918 and serving until demobilisation. Promoted extra regimental sergeant.
