Mauldon, Frank Richard Edward

Book of Remembrance entry

B.A., M.Ec.; Litt.D. (Melb.) : Hon. Captain, Y.M.C.A., A.I.F., England and France. Joining 28th August, 1916, and sailing 17th November as Y.M.C.A. representative, landed in France 24th June, 1917, and was appointed Y.M.C.A. Officer to 7th Infantry Brigade. Though wounded at Sailly-le-Sec 9th June, served in all operations till August, 1918, when sent to H.Q. in charge of Y.M.C.A. activities for 2nd Division till the Armistice and then to Charleroi in charge of Troops Leave Club. Later was at Corps H.O. and in London for seven months in charge of Y.M.C.A. (Aust.) Historical Records, returning 9th March, 1920, after attending School of Economics, University of London, in 1919. Rockefeller Fellow, Harvard University, 1930. Professor of Economics, University of Tasmania, 1935. Early education at Petersham Superior Public and Sydney High Schools.
