M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in April, 1917, at Wei-hai-wei, China, and sailing at once, served in France as M.O. Chinese Labour Corps party until July, then was attached 3rd Native Labour General Hospital, mostly as Pathologist, until July, 1919, returning to Australia in December. Awarded Order of the Striped Tiger, 5th Class (Chinese). Early education at All Saints' College, Bathurst.
