Towards the end of WWI, Sgt Masson accepted an appointment with the O.E.T.A. and took up office in the H/Q in Jerusalem. He was the Inspector of Agriculture. Over 24 years, his rose to the top to become the Director of Agriculture for the Palestinian Government. Among other duties, he was in charge of experimental farms for the whole country and results were put out to the farms there.
