Enlisting 1st January, 1918, and sailing 28th February, served with coy. from 10th September till 15th April, 1919, returning 3rd January, 1920, after attendance at School of Military Engineering, Chatham. Early education at Wesley College, Melbourne. Later at Royal Military College, Duntroon.
