Eng. : Lieutenant, R.G.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting in United Kingdom 8th January, 1916, served in Inns of Court Officers Training Corps till commissioned in November in R.G.A. and then in France and Belgium until demobilisation, returning to Australia 5th February, 1920. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School and Gresham's School, Norfolk. Two years' practical work at Yarrow & Co. Ltd., Glasgow.
