K.C.M.G., Kt., M.D., M.S. (Edin.), Hon. F.R.C.S. (Eng. and Edin.), F.R.A.C.S., Examiner in Surgery : Colonel, A.A.M.C. A.I.F. and B.E.F., France and Gallipoli. Enlisting and sailing in September, 1914, joined the Australian Voluntary Hospital, Wimereux, in November as Consulting Surgeon, remaining there until May, 1915. Then went with No. 3 Australian General Hospital to Lemnos, returning to Australia at the beginning of 1916. Re-embarking for France in May, 1917, served as Consulting Surgeon, British Army, St. Omer Area, returning to Australia at the beginning of 1918. South African War : Major and Consulting Surgeon with British Army. Mentioned in Despatches. Lecturer in Surgery, 1890-1915. Demonstrator in Anatomy and Physiology, 1883. Hon. Consulting Surgeon, Royal Prince Alfred and St. Vincent's Hospitals.
