Book of Remembrance entry
Med. I : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 1st June, 1916, when 17, and sailing 8th August, 1917, crossed to France 31st October and served at No. 2 Australian Divisional Base and No. 1 Australian Convalescent Depots till 6th December, 1918. Then was at Hurdcott and Fovant Camps and No. 1 Australian General Hospital, Sutton Veny, returning on hospital ship Karoola for demobilisation. Early education at Fort St. High School.
