B.A., Law : Corporal, 2nd Battn., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 17th September, 1915, and sailing with 12th Reinforcements 7th January, 1916, joined battn. 25th May and was wounded at Pozieres in July. On recovery rejoined battn. and served until wounded again at Passchendaele in November, 1917, and then until demobilisation. Promoted lance-corporal, 18th June, 1917. Early education at Marist Brothers' High School, Darlinghurst.
