Book of Remembrance entry
M.C., Arts II : Captain, 114th Battery, R.F.A., B.E.F., France. Sailing for England 4th April, 1915, was commissioned 5th June to Special Reserve of Officers and later gazetted lieutenant 114th Battery. Crossing to France in September, served at Loos, Somme, Mont Kemmel, Ypres and Loos, being wounded at Wystchaete in 1917. Promoted captain early in 1918 and appointed to command the battery. Awarded M.C. and Mentioned in Despatches thrice. Early education at Barker College.
