Book of Remembrance entry
M.A. (Edin.), Divinity, St. Andrew's College : Lieutenant, R.F.C. and R.A.F., B.E.F., France. Enlisting at Farnborough, England, 3rd July, 1917, as cadet R.F.C., was posted as observer gunner 21st May, 1918, to 107th Squadron D.H.Q. (Long Distance Day Bombing) which flew to France 5th June. Evacuated to hospital (concussion) 30th June, rejoined squadron 6th July and served till demobilisation, then coming to Australia. Early education at Alleyn's, Dulwich College Lower School, London, and Geo. Watson's College, Edinburgh. Later at St. Andrew's.
