Enlisting 14th January, 1918, and sailing on 19th, served at No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, from 31st May and joined 2nd Australian Field Ambulance 28th July, being R.M.O. 7th Battn. from 23rd November to 1st December and returning in January, 1920. Early education at Brisbane Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew's College.
