LL.B., Econ. : Lieutenant, 14th Machine Gun Coy. and 56th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 10th August, 1915, and sailing 23rd December with 20th Battn. reinforcements, joined 56th Battn. in Egypt 16th February, 1916, crossed with it to France and transferred to 14th M.G. Coy. 10th March, 1917, serving until demobilisation. Promoted second lieutenant, 24th February, 1917, and lieutenant, 1st July. Mentioned in Despatches.
